WELCOME

My name is Fiona Clothier, I am a professionally accredited psychotherapist and clinical supervisor guided by the code of ethics of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.

In my practice I provide both counselling and psychotherapy to adults and couples over 18 years of age.

Counselling generally focuses on finding strategies for coping with issues such as: managing anxiety, coping with loss, building self-esteem and dealing with conflict.

Sometimes there are deeper issues beneath those that present initially and then psychotherapy becomes more relevant. An example would be someone who comes with a very harsh inner judge, anything he/she does is never good enough, no amount of self-esteem building will last until the issue of the ‘inner-critic’ is worked through in psychotherapy. Interestingly, the inner critic is often protecting sequestered parts of the wounded self, lying in wait for healing until conditions are right.

I work with people coming with a wide range of problems from: depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress, sexual abuse, anger issues, poor self-esteem, relationship difficulties, unresolved childhood issues, traumas of various kinds, existential and meaning of life concerns, sexual difficulties, and general difficulties in coping with life.

If you wish to make an appointment or to clarify therapy details and cost you are welcome to contact me on 087 4151412
